The autogenous mill is primarily used to process electrolyte from the assembly workshop and all other sources. After being crushed to the required particle size, the material is transferred to the finished-product silo and then conveyed by dedicated vehicles to the electrolysis workshop for use as thermal insulation material.

  •   The autogenous mill is primarily used to process electrolyte from the assembly workshop and all other sources. After being crushed to the required particle size, the material is transferred to the finished-product silo and then conveyed by dedicated vehicles to the electrolysis workshop for use as thermal insulation material.

      The electrolyte feed enters the autogenous mill via a belt conveyor. As the mill rotates, the material is crushed into smaller particles. The electrolyte that meets the required particle size passes through small openings in the mill’s liner, while coarser particles remain inside for further grinding. The discharged electrolyte is collected by a chute beneath the mill and conveyed by a downstream belt conveyor to the storage bin. After production is complete, the autogenous mill reverses to discharge any uncrushed aluminum or iron fragments retained within the mill. These impurities are screened using an iron remover to extract ferrous contaminants, and the remaining aluminum pieces are recovered for reuse.

      The autogenous mill primarily consists of a cylindrical shell, a drive unit, a discharge chute, a material conveying system, a sealed dust-collection hood, and an electrical control system. Dust collection points are strategically located throughout the equipment to centrally capture dust generated during the production process.
